I made bread with my friend Gina and Sister Sanchez. It was much more complicated than dumping ingredients into the bread maker, which is quite enjoyable. I mean, it really takes about 4 minutes to measure everything out and dump it in, and then you do NOTHING for a while and then you eat warm bread!!! So this was fun, but more work. I think I will try it again though... it was quite delicious!!! Joel agrees with me because when it came out of the oven, we ate half of one loaf right then!

4 month check up
Laura had her 4 month check up on Thursday. She now weighs 13.5 pounds and is 24" long! She had all of her shots, which made her cry. While the Dr. checked her over, he said, "What healthy rolls!" And she is rolly poly in the thigh area! Her head circumfrence, weight, and height are all in the 50th percentile, just as her 2 month check was. She is still our "perfectly average" baby.
Now on to what you really want to know: Laura's head. The Dr said baby's normally have some flattening since they instituted the "back to sleep" campaign to reduce the rick of SIDS. He said when she started rolling over and moving more, her head should round out. He said not to worry until 6 months, and if there is still a flat spot they could do a CT scan. He wants that to be a last resort though because of the amount of radiation.
So, final word: Don't worry. Give it time. (That's what I keep telling myself!)

Memorial Day!
What a fun day! We spend the morning at Tobin and Aubry's home and Laura had fun playing with her cousins Aizlyn and Espin while Joel played tennis with his brother. Then we went to Joel's grandmother's home in the afternoon for a BBQ and swim party! It was Laura's first time in a pool, and she loved it! It was too cold for me, so Joel swam with Laura. Isn't she cute in her pink swimsuit! Cousin Perrin loves Laura and had fun swimming with her and Joel.
Diapers!
Our friends the Pollocks!
Our friends Kennedy, Mckenzie and Grayson came to spend the night with us. Joel and I thought our home was baby proof, but when your baby doesn't crawl, it doesn't really count. So we learned what changes we need to make once Laura becomes mobile! We had a fun time coloring, playing games and watching a movie. Then it was bath time, followed by bed time, then Laura ate and went to bed, and then Joel and I fell into bed! What a fun day!

What a nice group shot!
